Away from the gridiron, Tom Brady continues showing the same competitive fire that helped him win seven Super Bowls, this time turning the tables on Kevin Hart after the viral Netflix roast.
Airing live from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, the legendary QB crashed into “The Roast of Kevin Hart" show on Netflix live on May 10, 2026.
“Have you even left The Forum?" Brady asked Hart after his unbilled entrance. "Or have you just been here screaming into that light for the last two years, waiting for Daddy to come home? Well, unlike your real dad, I actually showed up. And I brought you a jersey.”
The fun roasting rivalry started back when Hart was an “infamously harsh” host of “The Roast of Tom Brady”, which the former NFL quarterback has not forgotten.
"You said, 'Time to get comfortable with being uncomfortable,'" Brady said. "Who's squirming in the highchair now? Put a pillow under there to make you look taller."
While light-heartedly mocking Hart, Brady also took some punches from host Shane Gillis, NBA star Draymond Green, Chelsea Handler, and lesser-known comics such as Sheryl Underwood and Big Jay Oakerson.
During his act, Brady presented a mini-New York Knicks jersey to Hart while mocking his size.
"That's newborn size," Brady said. "It fits you."
Continuing with his cameo in the Netflix roast saga, Brady gave a reference to the movie “Jumanji” while comparing his football career to Hart’s importance in the movie.
"I played in the NFL for 23 seasons, but I've never seen anyone drop the ball like this," said Brady. "...I won seven Super Bowls; Kevin has made two 'Ride Along' movies. I've won five Super Bowl MVP awards. Kevin, you're the third most famous person in 'Jumanji.'”
With four main characters in the Jumanji movies, Brady's joke touched upon the contrast between his Super Bowls and Hart's accolades.
Even with the zingers flying around, Hart's message to all those who attended his roast later reaffirmed that this was all in jest.
Kevin Hart Opens Up About Tom Brady Roast on Netflix
Shortly after the roast, Kevin Hart acknowledged Tom Brady’s joke on his roast show, which aired on May 10, 2026. He shared his response via his recent Instagram post.
“You gotta understand what the f****** assignment is, man. Everybody came out there and did the f****** thing. Tom Brady was great,” Kevin Hart said.
Not just for Brady, Hart praised others present at the roast show.
Hart later explained that the entire concept of the roast was built around relentless jokes without personal feelings getting involved. Something Brady handled surprisingly well.
“That, my friend, is what the f*** a roast is supposed to be,” he said. “It's g****** hard-hitting, relentless jokes with no consequence. It's the concept of a roast.”
Kevin Hart also acknowledged that Brady’s willingness to fire back at comedians and celebrities during the special helped turn the event into one of Netflix’s most talked-about sports-entertainment crossovers.
