Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy's recent TikTok video created quite a stir in the NFL community. Jeudy was asked during a TikTok live about who he sees as the starting quarterback in the Browns camp this time. He made a hand gesture with four fingers. The gesture drew attention because Watson wears No. 4 for the Browns.

Jeudy has since denied that interpretation. This is what former NFL linebacker and current analyst Emmanuel Acho has taken offense to. He called out Jeudy on the same on his Speakeasy podcast.

"Jerry Jeudy, stop gaslighting us," Acho said. "You are the one that went on live, and somebody asked you, 'Who do you want to start?' and you, in every single angle and form, showed Deshaun Watson's number."

Acho argued on the Speakeasy (YouTube) podcast that Jeudy was refusing to take responsibility for the gesture, dismissing the explanation that it was simply a misunderstanding.

"You're the individual that made a choice," said Acho, "Also, stand in it. There's absolutely nothing wrong with you saying, 'I want the eight-year NFL veteran, the former Pro Bowler, to start"

The situation between who will be the Browns QB1 is still unsure, as Todd Monken still hasn't made the call. Both Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders are currently in the race to start as QB1.

Sanders had a modest 2025 with 1,400 yards and seven TDs. Watson, on the other hand, hasn't played a game since 2024 after tearing his Achilles tendon.

Acho argued that Jeudy should simply stand by the gesture if it was intended as support for Watson, rather than later distancing himself from that interpretation.

Jeudy would even go further to blame the media and say there was foul play with his video.

Jerry Jeudy has denied that he has made his top quarterback pick. As per Doric Sam of Bleacher Report, Jeudy has said that the video of his has been edited. He later posted on X to explain his side of the story.

"I don’t speak on decisions that aren’t mine to make," Jeudy wrote in his X post. "I support my teammates/Brothers, I do my job, and control what I can control. Let’s stop creating narrative that aren’t there for likes and clicks. I bet this won’t go viral because it’s too positive/real for y’all."

He would go on to add that the media has been twisting the story, putting him in an awkward situation. As per ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi, head coach Todd Monken couldn't make his pick because both quarterbacks impressed him in their OTAs.

Oyefusi believes Monken didn't name his QB because he wants to see them performing in game-like situations. That is in padded practices, joint practices, and even preseason games that are more representative of regular-season action.

Whether Jeudy intended the gesture as an endorsement or not, the exchange has added another layer of intrigue to Cleveland's quarterback competition.

With Monken continuing to evaluate his quarterbacks through training camp and preseason, the debate over the Browns' eventual starter is likely to continue.
