The New York Jets have the lowest winning percentage in the group at .297, while the Washington Commanders have the highest at .418. All seven teams have played 165 games in the period, with none reaching a .500 winning percentage.

Here are the seven worst NFL records in the last 10 years.

1. New York Jets (49-116)

The Jets scored 2,939 points and gave up 4,113, a difference of 1,174 points. They averaged 17.8 points per game, compared with 24.9 from their opponents.

New York also went through several coaching changes, with Adam Gase, Robert Saleh and Jeff Ulbrich taking charge before Aaron Glenn was hired in 2025.

According to Statmuse.com, the Jets finished with 2,785 first downs. Their third-down conversion rate was 33.7%, while they converted 45.9% of fourth downs.

2. New York Giants (55-109-1)

New York's scoring average was 18.6 points per game during the stretch, while opponents averaged 23.8. The Giants scored 3,072 points and allowed 3,934 in total.

The team also moved from Ben McAdoo to Pat Shurmur, Joe Judge and eventually Brian Daboll at head coach. The Giants recorded 3,019 first downs and converted 35.6% of third downs. Their fourth-down conversion rate was 49.3%.

3. Carolina Panthers (61-104)

A 61-104 record left Carolina with a 754-point scoring deficit. The Panthers put up 3,350 points but surrendered 4,104, with their 20.3-point scoring average falling behind the 24.9 points allowed per game.

The coaching position also changed several times, from Ron Rivera to Matt Rhule, Frank Reich and Dave Canales. Carolina recorded 3,164 first downs. The Panthers converted 36.2% of third downs and 52.0% of fourth downs.

4. Cleveland Browns (61-103-1)

Cleveland's offense averaged 19.7 points per game, while its opponents averaged 24.1. Over 165 games, the Browns scored 3,243 points and allowed 3,981. The team had Hue Jackson, interim coach Gregg Williams and Freddie Kitchens in charge before Kevin Stefanski took over in 2020.

The Browns finished with 3,142 first downs. They converted 35.5% of third downs and 49.6% of fourth downs.

5. Arizona Cardinals (61-102-2)

The Cardinals actually scored more points than the four teams above them, finishing with 3,567. They still allowed 4,112, however, and their 21.6 points per game was not enough to turn the stretch into a winning one.

Arizona also saw Bruce Arians, Steve Wilks, Kliff Kingsbury and Jonathan Gannon coach the team during the period and recorded 3,317 first downs. Its third-down conversion rate stood at 38.5%, with a 50.6% success rate on fourth downs.

6. Jacksonville Jaguars (65-100)

Jacksonville scored 3,442 points and gave up 3,774, leaving a 332-point gap. The Jaguars averaged 20.9 points per game, while opponents averaged 22.9. During the same period, the team moved from Doug Marrone to Urban Meyer and then Doug Pederson, with Meyer's stint lasting just 13 games.

The Jaguars recorded 3,197 first downs and converted 38.5% of third downs. Their fourth-down conversion rate was 49.8%.

7. Washington Commanders (68-95-2)

Washington's 68 wins were the most among these seven teams, although the Commanders still finished below .500. They scored 3,453 points and allowed 4,031, averaging 20.9 points per game while giving up 24.4. Jay Gruden, Ron Rivera and Dan Quinn all coached Washington during the period.

The Commanders recorded 3,180 first downs. They converted 37.6% of third downs and 58.1% of fourth downs, the highest fourth-down rate among the seven teams.

With all seven teams staying below a .500 winning percentage, the 165-game sample shows how difficult it was for these teams to maintain winning records over the last 10 years.
