Rob Gronkowski backs Lamar Jackson to win the MVP and envisions Ravens' Super Bowl victory

Rob Gronkowski is expecting big things from Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens in the 2026 season.
The former NFL tight end has the Ravens reaching the Super Bowl against the Los Angeles Rams, while Jackson is his pick to take home the MVP award. Gronkowski believes the quarterback can return to his best after dealing with injuries for much of last season.
“I think the Baltimore Ravens are going to be playing the Rams in the Super Bowl. So if the Rams don't win the Super Bowl, well then it has to be the Baltimore Ravens,” Gronkowski said on September 3.

Jackson's health will be an important part of Baltimore's season. He still put up a 103.8 passer rating with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 13 games in 2025, despite not being at full strength.
“Lamar Jackson is my MVP pick this year. Lamar Jackson is going to have a breakout season once again, even though he has breakout seasons every year,” Gronkowski said on the Up & Adams Show on September 3.
The Ravens also have a new offensive coordinator in Declan Doyle, while Jackson has had a full offseason to recover. His big-play ability remains a major part of his game, as his 13.3 yards per completion led the NFL last season.
Jackson's rushing numbers dropped to 302 yards in 2025, but injuries played a role. His previous low as a full-time starter was 764 yards, according to Ravens Wire.
While Gronkowski is backing Jackson for MVP, the quarterback himself has given Ravens fans another reason to be excited about 2026.

Lamar Jackson believes Baltimore’s new-look offense under Declan Doyle can surprise defenses in 2026 after the Ravens struggled to find consistency last season.
The Baltimore Ravens are hoping their new-look offense can bring a different feel in 2026, and Lamar Jackson already has plenty of confidence in what Declan Doyle is putting together.
“I just can't wait to showcase it,” Lamar Jackson said, according to Roundtable. “From practice and what I've been seeing on film, I don't believe a defense is prepared for what's in store for them.”
Jackson missed four games because of a hamstring injury and other issues, and Baltimore finished behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North.
John Harbaugh and Todd Monken are gone, with Jesse Minter now leading the team and Doyle running the offense. Jackson, a two-time MVP, has yet to reach a Super Bowl, according to the Baltimore Ravens' official website.
The Ravens will unveil the new offense when they face the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 13.
