Tom Brady has won more Super Bowls than any quarterback in NFL history. But one championship means more to him than the other six, and he explained why during an appearance on New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.
The conversation turned to his seven Super Bowl victories, where the former New England Patriots quarterback revealed that Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks remains his favorite because of the journey it took to get there.
"We [have] gone 10 years [without winning] and I had three years of three times we won it. Then I had two where we lost it. And then I was like, man, and then 2014 came,” Brady said on the 8 July episode. “And we're going against the Legion of Boom, and we're down, I think, 10 in the fourth quarter, and then we end up having just the most incredible last 20 minutes of the game,"

New England was losing 24-14 at the start of the fourth quarter. Brady led the Patriots to two touchdowns against Seattle's tough defense. He threw one touchdown pass to Danny Amendola and another to Julian Edelman to help New England take a 28-24 lead.
"Dante Hightower made one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history. Malcom makes one of the greatest defensive plays in the history of football. And everyone after the game talked about not handing the ball to Marshawn," Brady said in the New Heights podcast (YouTube @newheightshow).
Seattle reached the Patriots' 1-yard line in the final minute, but Dante Hightower stopped Marshawn Lynch, andMalcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson's pass to win the game.
That Super Bowl win remains special for Brady and has led to new discussions about where he belongs among the NFL's greatest quarterbacks.
Tom Brady ranked no. 9 among the NFL's greatest quarterbacks
Tom Brady is ninth on a list of the greatest quarterbacks at their peak, placing Peyton Manning first, and Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, and John Elvey in the 2nd. 3rd and 4th spot.
Former NFL quarterback Chris Simms shared his ranking on Sunday Night Football on NBC via X
Simms explained that he valued quarterbacks who created plays outside the pocket and overcame difficult situations with their physical ability. He argued that Brady relied more on structure and timing than some of the players ranked ahead of him.
"It's pretty absurd to suggest that someone like Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson was better than Brady in their primes, no matter what the statistics might show."Andrew Holleran of the Spun wrote.
Brady's includes one of the greatest seasons in league history. He recorded 4,806 yards and 50 touchdowns during the Patriots' 2007 regular season before earning three NFL MVP awards across his career. He retired with seven Super Bowl titles, six in New England and one in Tampa Bay.
