Maxx Crosby Sends 3-Word Cryptic Message After Sharing Feelings on Kirk Cousins

Apr 13, 2026, 9:24 PM CUT

Maxx Crosby has dealt with years of quarterback instability in Las Vegas. But one conversation with the Raiders' new quarterback, Kirk Cousins, was enough to change his whole attitude.

A week ago, Crosby talked about his meeting with Cousins and now posted a message on social media with not much context.

"More Is Required," wrote Crosby on X on April 13.

Since Crosby arrived in Las Vegas in 2019, the Raiders have cycled through at least four different quarterbacks. And after trading Geno Smith to the New York Jets, they needed a veteran QB for their projected first overall pick, Fernando Mendoza.

Cousins had a rough time in Atlanta, but he still had the seventh-best Catchable Ball Percentage (89.5%) and the sixth-best On-Target Percentage (78.1%) among quarterbacks with 100 or more attempts.

And the Raiders edge rusher is optimistic about the four times pro bowler coming to Las Vegas.

"Ran into Kirko Bangs," Said Crosby on his Rush podcast. "It was dope, we had a great conversation, he was awesome, definitely fired me up. Dude has done a lot of great things in this league, adding him to the squad is gonna help a lot, we got more pieces coming as well."

This is not the first time in Cousins' career that he has joined a team that drafts a young quarterback. The difference is that this time he knows that beforehand.

"There’s only a handful of guys in the league, maybe a half‑dozen, that truly you’re thinking about as you prepare for them the entire week, every play, saying, ‘What are we doing about this guy?" Cousins said in an April 6 Raiders interview. "Maxx is one of those guys."

Now, as Cousins settles into the new team, he has expressed what he likes most about the Raiders.

Kirk Cousins Finds His Desert Home With the Las Vegas Raiders

Kirk Cousins comes to Las Vegas with 14 years of NFL experience, four Pro Bowl selections, 167 career starts, and almost 300 touchdown passes. When asked what first drew him to the franchise, Cousins didn't hesitate.

"Best jerseys in pro sports I think," he told Raiders.com.

"I remember being in warm-ups once playing the Raiders and our head coach looked at me and said, 'Those have to be the best jerseys in pro sports.' And I said, 'You know what Coach, I have to agree. Those are really sharp.'”

The pull was more than just looks. Getting back together with head coach Klint Kubiak was a big deal.

The two worked well together for three seasons in Minnesota, when Kubiak was the quarterback coach and offensive coordinator from 2019 to 2021. And Cousins says Kubiak helped him have his best NFL stretch.

"He called plays for me in 2021, which I look back now and feel like that was objectively probably the best season I ever had," Cousins said.

With Cousins joining his third team in four years, this season carries real weight, especially with Mendoza expected to join him.
