Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love recently addressed the uncertainty surrounding his teammate and star running back Josh Jacobs.

28-year-old Jacobs was booked on charges of battery, domestic a****, disorderly conduct, and intimidation of a victim. Love acknowledged the situation on Tuesday when he spoke to reporters.

“Yeah, we’ve talked internally. Everyone knows what the situation is there. And we’ve talked, but obviously the details, we’re keeping that,” Love stated, per Packers writer Matt Schneidman's X post.

Love stated that the team is being careful due to the sensitivity around the case and the ongoing process.

“Everybody’s keeping that under wraps right now, just out of respect for the situation and obviously all the legal stuff that’s gonna be playing out," said the quarterback.

Love explained that the Packers team is glad to have Jacobs there and that he has been preparing for the season with the rest of them. He stressed that the focus still remains on football and that they will let the situation to run its course.

“It’s great to have Josh here with us, be able to work with us and get back to work. Everybody’s just waiting and letting it play out on its own.”

Love did express that he was stunned to hear the news. However, he was determined not to draw conclusions before all the facts were known.

“I was shocked when I saw it. It’s one of those things. We’re going to let it play out. There’s a lot of uncertainty when you hear something like that of what might happen,” Love admitted.

He also suggested that his view of his teammate had not changed but preferred not to delve into their private conversations.

While Jacobs continues to be under media and legal scrutiny, Love has a lot of expectations to live up to this year. According to some sources, he could be on course for a MVP year.

ESPN Names Jordan Love As MVP Candidate

Recently, the ESPN staff had come up with a list of 100 predictions for 2026, and Jordan Love made an appearance in their list of top ten MVP candidates.

ESPN is expecting Love's nomination after a season where he had the third-best QBR. But they noted that Green Bay would have to go pass-heavy for the QB to win.

“Love quietly ranked third in QBR (72.7) last season behind only Maye and Brock Purdy. In order for him to win MVP, the Packers would have to become more pass-heavy. But it would probably be a good move for Green Bay to do exactly that, so Love has a chance.”

With star running back Josh Jacobs having off-field issues and MarShawn Lloyd having troubles staying healthy, it is a real possibility that the Packers become a pass-heavy team.

However, the offensive line has a handful of question marks and Micah Parsons won’t be ready for the start of the year either. If Jordan Love can somehow make up for his team’s shortcomings, he could definitely be an MVP candidate.
