Dak Prescott gave the Dallas Cowboys’ offense a new nickname before the 2026 season, and offensive tackle Tyler Guyton made it clear that players had started using it around the team.

During training camp in Oxnard, California, reporters asked Guyton what Dallas wanted its offense to be. Blogging the Boys writer Brandon Loree shared the clip on X, where Guyton repeated Prescott’s short phrase.

“Fast, physical, violent, imposing our will on opponents. Dak [Prescott] has a new saying: GOTI (Greatest Offense There Is), that’s the standard for us,” Guyton said on Thursday.

Prescott created GOTI while training with the Cowboys’ skill players in Park City, Utah, before camp. His teammates liked the idea and soon started using the phrase at practice.

In the clip Brandon Loree shared on X, Guyton made it clear that Prescott’s slogan had spread through the group. It also fit head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s plan for an offense built on speed, power, and confidence.

Prescott has made clear he is not shying away from the Super Bowl questions and wants Dallas to stop hiding from big goals. The quarterback believed players should openly accept pressure rather than lower expectations to avoid criticism.

The offense is already fired up. In Schottenheimer’s first season as head coach and playcaller, Prescott passed for more than 4,500 yards, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens each topped 1,000 receiving yards, and Javonte Williams added a 1,000-yard rushing season.

The Cowboys also finished second in yards per game and seventh in points in 2025. However, the team missed the playoffs for a second straight season, so their new words would only matter if they turned into wins.

That challenge is also connected directly to Prescott’s chance of earning the league’s top individual honor.

Cowboys’ success could shape Prescott’s MVP case

Writers at DallasCowboys.com looked at Dak Prescott’s chances of winning the 2026 MVP award on July 24. They agreed that strong numbers alone may not be enough. Dallas must win games for Prescott to stay near the front of the race.

“The rest of the group around him, not just on offense, will have to do their part too. Prescott will certainly have to do his part to help the team win games, which makes him the 'most valuable,' but the defense and his run game will have a lot to do with that as well,” Tommy Yarrish of the DallasCowboys.com wrote.

Prescott finished second in MVP voting in 2023 after leading Dallas to a 12-5 record and the NFC East title. He completed 69.5% of his passes for 4,516 yards, 36 touchdowns and nine interceptions that season.

This year, Prescott has plenty of help around him. CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens give him two trusted targets, while Javonte Williams and the offensive line can help Dallas run the ball.
