The return of Aaron Rodgers to the Pittsburgh Steelers was always expected to dominate headlines, but this time it was not because of his throws on the practice field.

As reported by Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the star QB, Aaron Rodgers, got hostile with the reporter during a press conference post the OTAs during the Q&A session.

“I’m not gonna tell you what I do in my personal time," Aaron Rodgers replied when the reporter asked him about the things he has been up to since his arrival. "You already saw I went to that ice cream spot."

In an interesting conversation during the presser, the 42-year-old quarterback showed a strange, combative response to the reporter’s questions.

Although he was wearing a smile throughout the conversation, he was not comfortable while giving the response.

The conversation goes as follows:

Q: “We saw the video you getting ice cream over the weekend. You said you’ve been here since early May. What kind of other things have you been up to since you’ve been in town?”

A: “I’m not gonna tell you what I do in my personal time. You already saw I went to that ice cream spot.”

Q: “Are you surprised there weren’t other sightings of you until now? Is that intentional?”

A: “Was it intentional to be sighted?

Q: “To not be sighted.”

A: “No, I just live my life.”

Ahead of his return announcement, Rodgers was in the town from early May, his presence in the town is enough to intrigue the fans and the NFL universe.

The reporter was not trying to get on Rodgers about his spotting in a video while he was getting an ice cream. It was an innocent question to know more about the QBs off field time while being in the town, per Florio.

It was his right to protect his privacy, but per Florio, he could’ve given a different response to the reporters.

Aaron Rodgers Stance on Mentoring Young Steelers Quarterbacks

With his return, now the questions revolve around his involvement in the quarterback room and how involved he will be in developing the younger passers behind him on the depth chart.

The current room features Rodgers at the top, followed by Will Howard, Mason Rudolph, and Drew Allar.

According to Christopher Carter, Rodgers is willing to help, but only to a certain extent.

“Sounds like he's willing to be there, but he's not going to be babying these guys,” Carter said. “It's not like he's going to be like, 'Hey man, fix this. Fix that.' It's going to be, 'I'm here as a resource if you want to use me.'”

That approach fits Rodgers’ personality and experience level.

Rather than acting like a full-time quarterback tutor, Rodgers is expected to help younger players understand NFL defenses, situational football, and the small details that separate college football from the professional game.

Still, the actual development process will remain in the hands of the coaching staff under head coach Mike McCarthy.

Aaron Rodgers will be there to help the young QBs acclimate to the football, but he will not completely guide them like a coach.
